These are internal competitions for club members that run through the year, starting in July.

2023-2024 Homebrewer of the Year (HotY) Competition Schedule

August - Fan Favorite
September - German Beers (BJCP Categories 4-10 + Berliner Weisse and Gose)¹
October - Winner’s Choice (Hop Draft²)
December - Fan Favorite
January - Schwarzbier³
March - Winner’s Choice (TBD)
April - Fan Favorite
May - Wheat Beers<sup>4

 
1</sup> Top 3 entries from September will be entered into Topeka HoFoamers contest (hosted by WHO in 2023)
² Hop Draft will occur during the July meeting. Judging in October. See rules below.
³ Winner receives 1 free entry to WHO Brews It to enter their Schwarzbier
⁴ Top 3 will receive free entry to Hard Redz to enter their wheat beers, if they choose, and if the competition is reinstated in 2024.
